We have here an M1 Garand manufactured by Springfield Armory sometime in 1946. It is chambered for the original .30-06 cartridge. At some point the firearm had it's barrel replaced, but the barrel is factory. The metal is showing some signs of age, but the rifling is in good condition and the rifle functions fine.
